Why

A Gutenberg from AliExpress.

I'm Ayadi. Some random dude on the internet. Like an actual person, with a spine and shit. I write a blog called Verbatim. AI is not allowed on it. Not even Grammarly. But I decided to make a writing machine, like some kinda Gutenberg from AliExpress.

I can't fix AI writing stylistically. I'll always smell it a mile away and go: "Ew! What's that, brotha!". Being upfront about it makes it better. We're not trying to fool anyone. We're just using it to convey the facts to people who need to hear them, and for that, it's actually pretty good. It's not like anybody is trying to be Tolstoy on their company comms anyway... The job of a company is to process information, learn, and develop worldviews. Those things are worth sharing, even when they don't contribute to the bottom line. But that's hard, because who has the time...

Even the best marketing teams struggle to come up with content ideas, because they're not in the room when the good ones come up. When the CEO comments on a competitor's move, when the engineers comment on an innovation in an adjacent field, when a sales rep gets crushed by a prospect, or an intern gets seven different answers to the same question during onboarding week... these are all golden opportunities to write some content. We just need to find them, write them down, and see if they make sense. Out of 10, maybe 9 make the cut, or even 2. That's 2 more than what you had before.

We can extract the stories worth telling. We can align on the right way to tell them. We can broadcast them to wider circles. We can get the word out without interrupting our day.

AI is great when it tells the world what we think, even if it sounds a little too... Eyay...

To communicate is to tell others what we think is relevant. We already do that on our calls. We decide what to talk about and what not to. Propaganda takes that act of editing and turns it into a productive asset... to drive shareholder value and what not... because that's the point of all of this... obviously...
