"It's not imperfect. It's atrocious"
That's how I feel right now. I just published the first posts on the ppgd site, and I'm so ashamed of them that I can't bring myself to open them. I wanted to grab a link to the post and drop it here, but I haven't even looked at the published site, because I know there are bugs waiting for me there. There's a bug everywhere. Bugs, bugs, bugs... it never stops, and the whole thing is Swiss cheese. The only reason any part of the product has no bugs yet is that I haven't looked there yet.
It's not that I've built buggy software. A bug is when things work except in certain cases. My thing doesn't do its work to begin with. But it does do some things, and I have to go live at some point.
Propaganda helps teams tell the world what the hell is up in their world. It currently does not help me do shit. It can. I'm sitting on a golden SEO strategy, a long content backlog. I should post those and start getting indexed, start ranking, start getting that organic traffic. I should go live now so that in a few months, the LLMs start mentioning my thing. But I didn't go live because I was busy with the parts that didn't work yet. Why do they not work? Because I was busy building all the parts that do work... duh!
So yes, my perfectionist tendencies do give me a lot of trouble. But I'm also a realist and I under
Perfectionist? I am. Realist? Fosho. I'm also a maker who likes to make features as some form of escape from the shame of anything south of perfect. True. But the thing that describes me most is Writer. I'm a writer. It's the only pleasure that never left me, and right now, I haven't gotten a chance to write anything myself cause I'm too busy with all the parts that aren't me writing. Fuck that. It does live as is. It sucks big time. But I'll fix it while it's out there. Let the Anthropic crawlers judge my unfinished work. It'll never be finished anyway, and I'm not gonna sit on it forever.
In propaganda, you can turn the work into stories the internet can read. We have that. But I need to edit them, and I spent a week doing so in Claude. My users should do that in PPGD. That's the product. But I don't have the editing part yet, so I'm editing my stuff in another tool. I hope this is kinda like the early days of Figma, where they had to design Figma in Sketch. Boy, that had to hurt, but I'm sure they did it. What they also did is jump ship to making Figma in Figma, with all the limitations it had. I'm sure of it. That's the moment I'm living in now. So the post goes live. It has some minor inaccuracies and many happenings told the wrong way. I haven't taught it how to do that yet, and I am busy at work doing so. But it needs to happen in PPDG, and for that we need to go live. So live we go.
